WHY DRAGON BOATING?
Dragon boating has become a powerful movement for breast cancer survivors around the world. It’s a low-impact, full-body workout that builds endurance, strength, and camaraderie.
More importantly, it offers a supportive community of warriors who understand the journey—both the struggles and the triumphs.
Whether you're an experienced paddler or have never held a paddle in your life, this team is about unity, strength, and proving that survivorship is just the beginning of a new adventure.

We are calling all breast cancer survivors in Chicago to be part of something truly groundbreaking:
the city’s first-ever all-BCS Dragon Boat team!

We train on the beautiful Chicago River every Sunday morning during the season. No experience? No problem! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. All you need to bring is your determination and a willingness to have fun.
If you're ready to paddle with purpose, connect with fellow survivors, and make history, we’d love to have you on board. Reach out to Bridget Durkin at bridget.durkin@comcast.net or Ulrike Mendelberg at ulrike_tgif@yahoo.com
